Despite having a martial arts background and active sporting life, many years of office work led me to increase in size and decrease in motivation. Does that sound familiar? 

Realising that the desk wasn't the life for me, I started to research how I could change myself back to the active, lean and energised being I once was. This research led me to becoming a Personal Trainer in 2008 gaining my Master Trainer qualification with the Australian & European Institute of Fitness. 

Having found my vocation in life, I have gone on to study many areas of training from some of the world leaders in their fields. I"ve studied many training methods, advanced biomechanics, nutrition and hormonal work picking my courses carefully based on not only what I"m interested in, but what I can offer to my clients. I love teaching and sharing information with those who will most benefit and my client"s results are a great reward. 

As a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach, Nutritionist and Biomechanist I have an ongoing commitment to learn. I attend as many courses each year as my time allows including private internships, one to one sessions with other coaches and continually reading as much as I can.

There are many great quotes throughout history that both appeal to my business and apply to myself as a person. However, this one stands out as I feel it covers our situation perfectly.

Having the knowledge is one thing, but being able to apply it to other people is something very different. When you pass the point of being willing to do something and are now ready to act, you want to be safe in the knowledge that the person you choose to trust with your body and health has both the understanding and ability to apply that knowledge.

Since entering the health and fitness industry I have always strived to obtain information on as many subjects as I can. I hated not be able to help people with their problems there and then. This is, of course, an oncoming commitment I make to both myself and my clients. Through continual education, I can help others achieve faster and more sustainable results especially in the fields of fat loss and movement.
